- Zayed University Dubai Campus (ZU Dubai) will admit male students from September 2010 according to a WAM report 17 January 2010. The university is not going entirely co-ed though, the first 200 male students will attend in the afternoon/evening, after the female students have finished their classes: "The first cohort of national males to be admitted to the Dubai campus will consist of 200 students. Classes for male students will start after the female students have finished their classes and have left the campus for the day."
08 December 2009
- University of North Carolina and Zayed University signed a Memorandum of Understanding to "engage both universities in collaborative and cooperative efforts to participate in mutually beneficial activities and to offer programs of study and training programs."
16 September 2009
- Zayed University Dubai Knowledge Village (DKV) male campus opening date delayed until September 2010. The male campus might be at a different location.
18 September 2007
- Female students of any nationality are now accepted at ZU. See Zayed International College.
- Zayed University will be opening a new campus at Dubai Knowledge Village in 2008

- Zayed University is for female Emirati students. See also Zayed University Abu Dhabi Campus.
- ZU has five academic colleges - Arts and Sciences, Business Sciences, Communication and Media Sciences, Education and Information Technology.
- ZU originally opened in 1998 in Garhoud. The Dubai Academic City campus opened in 2006.

- Fees, facilities, education quality varies widely. Allow extra fees for visa, transport, accommodation.
- Salaries, accommodation, other benefits for lecturers vary substantially. Check contracts carefully for medical, housing, flight allowances, etc.
