- Contact details updated from the Vatel France website (www.vatel.fr).
- Vatel France website says facilities include classrooms, computer laboratory, library, lecture hall. Also student housing in dormitory accommodation, internet cafe, restaurant, tennis courts, fitness club, spa, and swimming pool.
- Practical studies done at the Ras Al Khaima Hilton Hotel. Theory at the RAK Business Center.
- Internships possible at hotels in the UAE and worldwide.
- Vatel website seems to have misplaced their UAE hotel institute - it's apparently in Dubai.
Courses available are:
- Bachelor's degree in International Hotel Management
- MBA in International Hotel and Tourism Management
- Hotel staff training courses?
Fees information
Fees information specific to Ras Al Khaimah not found, but Vatel website has:
- Total fees of 11,810 Euros (AED 65,000) for foundation year, and 18,360-20,110 Euros (AED 100,000-110,000) for MBA program (includes tuition and accommodation).
- Tuition only fees are 7000 Euros (AED 38,500) for foundation year and 13,500 Euros (AED 75,000) for MBA programs.

- The Vatel Emirates School (or Vatel Emirates Institute) is a new tourism and hospitality school open in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) January 2009.
- The Marco Polo Program is under consideration as part of the course offerings.
- Location is the Academy Zone of Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone (RAK FTZ).

- Vatel operates the Vatel Hotel Schools in Europe (Bordeaux, Lyon, Moscow, Nimes, Paris), Asia (Bangkok, Manila), North and South America (Buenos-Aires, Los Angeles, Mexico, Quebec, Salta), and Africa (Marrakech, Mauritius, Tunis). Ras Al Khaimah is the first Vatel school in the UAE and the Middle East. Vatel also planning a hotel school in Saudi Arabia?

- Fees, facilities, education quality varies widely. Allow extra fees for visa, transport, accommodation.
- Salaries, accommodation, other benefits for lecturer jobs vary substantially. Check contracts carefully for medical, housing, flight allowances, etc.
