  • The National reported that the Abu Dhabi Government has been in talks with the United World College (UWC) organisation to establish a campus in Abu Dhabi - Keith Clark, the executive director of UWC, said a UAE campus had been under discussion for the past two years.
  • One possible location mentioned in the report was Delma Island.
  • UWC operates 13 campuses internationally, and are highly regarded popular international schools for senior students.

  • The Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) announced a scholarship program to fund 12 Emirati national students to study at one of the United World Colleges (UWC) abroad (press release).
