- Full name is Troy University, ITS Sharjah Campus.
- Gulf News reported that Troy University had closed - "Confusion reigns over Troy University closure" but quoted a statement from Dr Samir Odeh, Acting Dean of Troy University in Sharjah, who said "We are not closing, we are still running Troy University programmes, but are not admitting new students onto these programmes due to an institutional restructure,"
- The parent institute is Troy University in the USA ... sort of. The system seems to be that students in the first two years of their programs are enrolled in the Sharjah based college and can then transfer to Troy University USA programs, but the Gulf News report said that some students when attempting to transfer to TU USA programs were rejected because their transcripts were from the Sharjah College. Sounds confusing and we don't really get it.
