- Syracuse University information center in Dubai Knowledge Village (DKV, KV) to open later in June according to a report in the Gulf News 12 June 2011. The report said there were no plans at present to open a campus branch in Dubai.

- A press release (date not clear) said Dahesh Museum of Art and Syracuse University would open an art exhibition in Dubai - Reconnecting East and West: Islamic Ornament in 19th-Century Works - at the Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre (DUCTAC), Mall of the Emirates. Dates from 18 June to 18 July 2011, free entry. Exhibition displays 19th-century authentic Islamic ornament and design by Western scholars and artists.
