  • The Sejong Institute of South Korea is reportedly in an agreement with Zayed University to establish a branch campus in the UAE, perhaps Dubai.
  • The National newspaper on 24 April 2010 reported that: "On the heels of last year's nuclear energy deal with Korea, the Sejong Institute, which has satellite institutions around the world, will launch a branch in the UAE later this year."
  • No further information found about the proposed new campus, except for other news sources repeating The National report. Nothing found on the Sejong Institute website.
  • The same report also commented on the UAE Confucius Institute being established as part of the ZU initiative.
Sejong Institute background information
  • According to the Sejong website, "The Sejong Institute of the Sejong Foundation is a private non-profit research institute in the areas of security, national unification, and foreign affairs that is dedicated to suggesting a future map of the Republic of Korea."
  • The Seejong Institute was founded in 1983
  • There is also a Sejong Institute campus in Japan.
