Notes about this schools list

• * refers to schools which need to have details updated.
• This is a list of all schools in Abu Dhabi city that offer expatriate curriculums (curricula) eg English (including Australian / British / UK / USA), French, German, Indian, Russian, Pakistan, high schools, primary schools, etc.
• Al Ain and Ruwais are towns in the emirate of Abu Dhabi but not included in this list - see the full UAE school list (separate pages are coming sooner ... or later).
• To look for schools in a smaller area than by emirate, click on the tel number column heading - tel numbers in the same area start with the same two or three digits.
• Click on school's name to get further details - contact details, location, fees, salaries, comments.
• School name is not always indicative of curriculum (eg many 'English' schools run an Indian curriculum).
• Some UAE and Abu Dhabi schools have a good mix of nationalities, others are mostly one nationality - students in minority nationalities may feel out of place. The name and/or curriculum type does not always indicate this.
• Ratings are a subjective guide only. No rating means either not enough information to give one, or it would have a rating below a minimum acceptable standard.
• Student rating reflects academic and personal development rather than social environment. Three stars means student has acceptable or better opportunities for a satisfactory education, teachers are generally interested in trying to help students, there is some opportunity for extra-curricular activities, parents get some realistic feedback about their children. Five stars mean all of the previous criteria are at a very high standard.
• Teacher rating reflects employment satisfaction. Three stars means a salary sufficient to live on, is usually paid on time, accommodation (if provided) is liveable, the school is not completely devoid of resources, you have at least possible opportunities to educate students. Five stars mean motivated students (mostly), good opportunities for professional development, school is well-resourced, professional, supportive and trustworthy management, very good salary and accommodation package.
