Not clear what happened to Grades 7 & 8 for September 2009 - no fees information supplied.

PO Box unconfirmed, also seen as PO Box 47423, Sharjah in some sources (but the Sharjah Yellow Pages say that belongs to Inder Mohan Vig Engineering Turning Workshop in Sharjah). No postal address found on SIA website.
Fax number not found or supplied but some SIA teaching job advertisements have fax number +971-4-3445921 (which is a Dubai number).

Mike Welland is listed on the SIA website as the principal. The previous principal, Michael Henry, might have moved to the new Star International School Umm Suqeim. Date of change unknown.

Fees information updated (was AED 16,500-23,100 for 2007-2008 up to Grade 5). Registration fee AED 700, bus transport charges AED 900-2400 depending on location and which term.

Someone from the Scholars International Academy was interviewed on Dubai Eye's Business Breakfast (103.8 FM) - it might have been a replay from an earlier date.
She said salaries were about 9,000 dhs but it wasn't clear if the school would provide accommodation or an allowance, or if teachers had to find and pay for their own accommodation. Which, in June 2007, can cost up to 9,000 dhs per month for a good 1 bdrm apartment in Dubai.
Number of students registered for September 2007 was about 80 with intention of starting with up to 600 children.

For 2007/2008, school is K-5. Grades 6/7 introduced 2008/2009, up to A levels in following years.
Transportation fees add 1000-1500 dhs.
Languages offered include Farsi and Afrikaans from Sep 2007, and Russian, Hindi, Korean from 2008/2009.
SIA say (see discussion topic for press releases) that maximum class size will be 23 students.
Facilities, activities and study programs will include rugby, football, swimming, canoeing, rock climbing, basketball, juggling, dance, public speaking, organic farming, jungle gym, rock-climbing wall and an amphitheatre. There is also a Wellness Centre so students can bunk off and learn about healthy eating, fitness, yoga, and pilates instead of studying.
Favorable comments seen so far for SIA, based on visits and discussions with school administration, not on actual delivery of education yet.
Same management group (SIG) also run Dubai Scholars School.
SIA not found on MOE (Ministry of Education) website but that may not mean much.
SIA makes a point of saying their location is the Dubai / Sharjah border. Website contact page does not give fax number, PO Box, or emirate it is located in.

Many popular schools are full for 2013-2014. New schools in Sharjah might have places.
Allow extra for books, extra-curricular activities, uniforms, trips, etc if not included in school fees.
