- Royal College of Applied Sciences and Technology is closed? A Gulf News report said all Sudhir Gopi institutes in the UAE had closed, although RCAST was not specifically named.

The Royal College of Applied Sciences and Technology (RCAST) FZE is a long and convoluted name for an institute that offers courses in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) from other institutes, namely:
- Birla Institute of Technology RAK (BIT or BITIC for International Center)
- Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)
- University of Seychelles AIM
But by and large, RCAST in RAK seems to be synonymous with BIT in RAK (both organisations have the same contact details - telephone +971-7-2359080, fax +971-7-2359081). PO Box numbers are 10141 and 1041 for RCAST and BITRAK respectively, so maybe one of them is a typo, or maybe they are different.
