- The Gulf Today reported that United International Private School (UIIPS or UIPS) was planning to establish a Filipino university in Dubai, or somewhere in the UAE, quoting Assistant Managing Director of UIPS, Badria Ali, as saying "Many parents want their children to take their university studies here and we have taken steps to address this"
- No further information supplied to clarify what steps were actually being taken towards the university development.
