- Pearl Primary School is a new school in Abu Dhabi, the first of 20 schools that Aldar Academies intends to open. Aldar Properties, the owner of Aldar Academies, is a large property developer in Abu Dhabi (similar to Emaar Properties in Dubai but a newer company).
- PPS was called Aldar Island Academy while under development.
- Pearl Primary may accept students with slight learning difficulties who only need a minimal level of support.
- Maximum class size is 24, a total of 18 classes from age 3 to 11 will start in Sep 2007. Classes will be mixed gender and ability.
- School day starts at 0800 and finishes between 1330 and 1400 depending on class. Extra curricular activities from 1415-1515.
- No school transportation provided (at least, initially). Parking, pick-up, drop-off could be congested.
- Fees include books but not uniforms. Add 1000 dhs registration fee.
- Facilities will include library, dining hall, ICT, sports hall, outdoor sports field, and swimming pool.
- The Pearl School has taken over the site previously occupied by the Sadyaat / Saadyat / Saadiyat school.
- PO Box listed is for Aldar Academies.
- PPS principal, Stephen Fletcher, was previously headteacher at Doha English Speaking School in Qatar (from 2004-2007).
- Domain name www.pearlprimary.sch.ae might be for Pearl Primary School - registered to them but no website appears yet. Link is to Aldar Acadamies page on Aldar website.
