Financial Times top 100 Global MBA Rankings 2012

11 March 2012 (Gulf News) - two Dubai based institutions were in the FT top 100 Global MBA list: Hult International Business School in 65th spot (61st in 2011), and SP Jain School of Global Management in 91st spot (68th in 2011).
Other unversities in the list which have branch campuses in the UAE included (note that the ranking is for the main campus, not the UAE one):

Forbes magazine Middle East February 2012

26 February 2012 - Forbes Middle East magazine ranked MBA degrees from 37 universities and colleges in the Middle East. The American University of Sharjah MBA (AUS) was 2nd, and the Canadian University of Dubai MBA (CUD) was third. Top spot was given to the American University of Cairo (AUC) MBA.
It wasn't clear from news releases how Forbes decided on the rankings, or how they decided which universities and colleges to include or exclude. Update: a Gulf News report clarified how Forbes came up with the rankings, or maybe not ...
- Raymi van der Spek, executive director of UOWD, was quoted "I was approached by Forbes Middle East for an article they were writing on ‘best universities for master programmes'. The rankings seem to be based on this email request to institutions for internal data with no indication that it was going to be used to develop any form of ranking. Given that this data has been provided by the institutions themselves with no external audit, any claim of ranking validity could be highly contestable"
- Dr Rory Hume, provost of UAE University, was quoted "As far as we can tell, their ranking relies on data such as graduates' incomes over the five years after graduation, for example, and we were not asked for such data."
Branch campuses of international universities were excluded, which probably explains why the best (and most expensive) MBAs available in the UAE weren't on the list.
Government universities were ranked separately, and from the UAE included Zayed University (10th, $34,838, AED 127,900), and UAE University (20th, $24,427, AED 89,600).
