Kings Holdings is a joint venture established by Zabeel Capital and ANC Holdings, to invest in education related activities. Kings College in Dubai is their second project (following the King's School Dubai established September 2004 in Umm Suqeim / Umm Al Sheif).
Kings College Dubai (KC Dubai? KCD?) will cater to up to 2000 children from ages 0 to 18 years (according to one source). If they would offer permanent boarding facilities, you could then deliver your offspring straight from the hospital to the school in-tray, and not see them again until they're old enough to earn money. Another source says Kings' College will cater to children from 1 years of age so if that's correct, then you'll have to deal with the dirty nappies for a year.
KC Dubai plan to have 3 schools on one campus:
- Kings' Early Years Center for children from birth or age 1 to 5 years (conflicting information seen).
- Kings' College Primary for Year 1 to Year 6 students (ages 6-11)
- Kings' College Secondary for Year 7 to 6th Form / A-level / Year 13 (ages 12-18)
KCD may also cater to special needs students.
KCD information indicates they have or will have KHDA licence (they hope to open "with the endorsement of the Knowledge and Human Development Agency").
