The fourth academic year of the KHDA (Knowledge and Human Development Authority Dubai) Dubai School Inspections Bureau (DSIB) school ratings and inspections was in 2011-2012.

  • After school inspection reports are issued, each school is expected to prepare an action plan addressing the conclusions in the report, and present it to parents and governors of the school. The following inspection will report on progress towards recommendations made, and the action plan. Maybe.

  • Schools that were rated "unsatisfactory" for 2010-2011 were given recommendations for improvement, with follow-up inspections to be carried out.

  • 2012-2013 - KHDA permitted fee increases depending on ranking in 2012 school inspection reports, as in table above. Schools must apply to the KHDA for permission to increase fees though?
  • 2011-2012 - KHDA freeze on school fee increase continued to apply, unless overruled by the UAE Ministry of Education, or other special circumstances applied.
  • 2010-2011 - KHDA ruled school fees should not increase, unless there were special circumstances for example a school moving to new premises. Some schools increased fees anyway, with the permission of the UAE Ministry of Education.
  • 2009-2010 - schools permitted to increase fees depending on their ranking in the 2008-2009 KHDA school inspections according to table below.
