- Jebel Ali School / Jebel Ali Secondary School (JASS?) opening has been put on hold due to unavailability of essential utilities (power, water, sewerage) on time according to Nakheel, the developer of the new project at Jebel Ali Village.
- Unknown when (or if) the new school will open.

- Jebel Ali School is the new secondary school expansion of Jebel Ali Primary School (JAPS Dubai). Opening scheduled for September 2009?
- New facilities for secondary school expansion expected to be complete by September 2012 (for KS4) and September 2014 (for KS5) according to information from JAPS website.

- Qualifications and curriculum assumed to be British National Curriculum leading to GCSE and A-Levels.
