  • Full name is International Academy for Multilingual Education and Talent Development (IAMETD?).
  • Also called World Talent Academy? Website for IAMETD is www.world-talent-academy.com.
  • Appears to be some sort of international school (or supporting educational institute) based in Switzerland, for children from nursery to Grade 12 level but information found on their website seems to be somewhat vague, especially for Dubai. No information about location, fees, establishment date found.
  • Does it even really exist? Maybe it's in development or proposal stage. No entry found for institute on the KHDA website.
  • School teaches in the following languages according to website: Arabic, English, French, Chinese, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish? Probably not all of them in Dubai.
  • Primary school apparently uses the Professor J.S. Renzulli and Professor S.M. Rice School Enrichment Model (whatever that means).
  • IAMETD website says International Academy for Multilingual Education and Talent Development aims to provide an outstanding international education for students aged 0 – 3 and 3 – 18, with an integration of family life unlike any other school in the region.
  • And to reassure parents and students interested in feeling more like a tree (presumably they meant "long"): Our school is place where staff and parents will assist us to feel safe, to achieve our very best and help us to become successful life log learners.
  • They also say: ... seeks full accreditation from the Council of International Schools (CIS) and is a candidate school* for the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IBPYP) and an interested school for IBMYP and IBDP. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. But no information found on the IBO website (www.ibo.org) to confirm this - they are not in the list of Swiss schools offering IB PYP for example.
  • School hours listed as 0700-1900 but that's presumably for the Switzerland location.
  • Programs offered include Talent Development, and Talent Management. for age groups 0-2 years, 2-12 years, and 12 -18 years.
  • Telephone number on website is listed as +971 555 93 29 58 which doesn't make sense and will give an error if tried. Might be a typo.
  • CEO (and founder?) according to website is Elvira Weber, who also has something to do with an organisation called "Foundation for Civilian Peacebuilding and Global Communication" which appears to be based in Zurich, and for which information is equally vague.
  • Other locations for IAMETD include Geneva-Switzerland, Miami-USA, Shanghai-China, Singapore, Sydney-Australia (or "Sidney" as stated on the website).
  • Domain www.swiss-talent-academy.com looks like it might have been a German version of the website at www.world-talent-academy.com but now forwards to the WTA website.
  • A nursery school and childcare facility in Switzerland called Lilliput / Liliput Kinderbetreuung (kinderbetreuung.liliput.ch?) seems to have some connection with IAMETD in Geneva but unclear what that is.
  • The Russian Children's Choir (www.russischeshaus.ch), part of Der Russiche Haus in der Schweiz (The Russian House in Switzerland), also in Zurich, Switzerland, says they have some sort of partnership with the IAMETD, but again, it's unclear what that is.
  • There is a company called World Talent Inc in Hawaii (www.worldtalentinc.com - not available when checked) that appears to be a questionable sounding talent scouting agency for children but is probably unrelated to the International Academy, despite the similar looking domain names.
  • The domain www.worldtalent.com is spam.
  • Another organisation called International Talent Academy, ITA (www.internationaltalentacademy.org, not www.internationaltalentacademy.com), a performing and liberal arts school for young children in Carmel, Indiana, USA, also appears to be unrelated to the IAMETD. But at least looks legitimate.

General Comments - might not apply to International Talent Academy Dubai
  • Many popular schools are full for 2013-2014. New schools in Dubai might have places.
  • Allow extra for books, extra-curricular activities, uniforms, trips, etc if not included in school fees.
