German School in Dubai (DISD) moving to new location in Al Quoz for 06 September 2009 start? Previously the site of Deans International School. DISD was at the Dubai English Speaking College site in Dubai Academic City (DAC) until end of 2008-2009 academic year.
Contact numbers for DAC German school campus probably no longer valid (tel +971-4-4209790 and fax +971-4-4209789).

School uniform to be worn by DISD students from start of 2009-2010 academic year?
DISD fees information updated. Was AED 16,800-35,000 for 2008-2009. Big jump at top end because now includes Secondary I / Sekundarstufe II classes starting September 2009 with annual tuition fees AED 45,000.
Secondary II / Sekundarstufe II classes start in September 2010 with annual tuition fees AED 55,500 (unless they go up next year).
Additional application fee of AED 2000 (first time), and AED 500 for renewal.

New name is Deutsche Internationale Schule Dubai (DISD).
Old email was dssdubai@dssharjah.org (might still be valid).

School hopes to have new building available for 2009-2010 academic year. In the meantime, please be Geduld.

Kindergarten and primary section moved to Dubai English Speaking College location in Academic City for September 2007, still there for 2008-09 as construction of new building not complete.

School renamed from Deutschen Schule Dubai to Deutsche Internationale Schule Dubai (DISD)?

DSS Dubai is part of the Sharjah German School so postal address is Deutsche Schule Sharjah, PO Box 1465, Sharjah, UAE.
DSS Dubai rents classrooms at Al Mawakeb School Al Barsha but has plans to move to its own premises in Dubai Academic City. Original plans were to move by September 2007.
In September 2006, the kindergarten section moved into a villa in Jumeirah, Dubai (near Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Umm Suqeim / Al Sofouh).

Many popular schools are full for 2009-2010. New schools in Dubai may have places.
Allow extra for books, extra-curricular activities, uniforms, trips, etc if not included in school fees.
