- GEMS Millenium School Sharjah is a new day-boarding school. Opening date was April 2010? GEMS website says "Now open for the Academic year 2010-2011" and a GEMS news piece dated 05 May 2010 said the school was "now open for enrolment for students from Kindergarten to Grade 4."
- Students from Grade 3 upwards participate in the Self Enhancement Program (SEP) held in afternoons, which involves activities, sports, and clubs including Art & Craft, Creative Writing, Cricket, Drama, Debating, Elocution, Football, Karate, Instrumental Music, Modern Dance, Science Club, Tennis, Swimming.
- GEMS website says the GMS-Sharjah is "inspired by" the GEMS Millennium School in Dubai.
- GMS-Sharjah website seems to be still under construction. Some information repeated at www.gemseducation.com and www.gemschools.com.
