Teacher salaries might be £1700-2000 per month tax-free in UAE, or AED 9,400-12,232 (GBP 1,571-2,044) per month. Benefits package includes free single furnished accommodation, paid utility bills, medical insurance (but probably only basic government health card), annual flights, settling-in allowance of AED 1,000. Information from job vacancy advertised in April 2011 for Reception Teachers at a British curriculum international school. Name of school not supplied, but FPA is pretty much the only UK curriculum school in Fujariah.
Another vacancy advertised online in September 2011 for a KS3/KS4 Math teacher at FPA listed salary and benefits as follows: £1500-£2000 (approx AED 8,700-11,600) per month, annual flights, two bedroom furnished apartment, utilities allowance, government medical card (which most western expats would regard as insufficient medical coverage), settling in allowance of AED 1,000, standard UAE gratuity.

Fujairah Private Academy (FPA) moved into new building March 2004.
Student body is about 80% Arab and 20% Western / Asian.
Most teachers are from the UK.
FPA is about the only private school choice for western expats in Fujairah - St Mary's School in Fujairah might be considered by some.
Other expenses include school uniforms, stationery, course books for senior students, field trips. School does not provide transport.

There is also a Fujairah Islamic Scientific Academy, a UAE curriculum Arabic language school, which is not related to FPA but could be easily confused as the Fujairah Educational Zone (FEZ) lists it as "Fujairah Academy", while the FEZ has Fujairah Private Academy (FPA) listed as "School of Fujairah" or "Fujairah Private School" or similar.
