- ESNAAD will sponsor the ESNAAD Dean of Engineering chair at the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) for 3 years, and as a result, Esnaad becomes one of the founding members of the HCT Foundation-100 Club. Reported by WAM 09 October 2009.
- Maybe the sponsorship is part of a deal to encourage HCT to help Esnaad set up their marine college reported a couple of days previously.

- ESNAAD, a marine and oilfield services company based in Abu Dhabi, has plans to establish a maritime college according to a Khaleej Times report 07 October 2009.
- Darwish Al Qubaisi, General Manager of ESNAAD, was reported as saying "We are very much interested to establish soon a maritime college in Abu Dhabi"
- ESNAAD is a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and would likely set up the new college in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi based Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT).
