Employment at Emirates English Nursery
  • Current vacancies might be listed on website (Home > Vacancies). Pay range and benefits information not provided. Nursery specifically (but a little confusingly) says:
    • Please note we only employ native English speaking teachers that are western educated (ie British, South African, Australian, American etc) We do not hire teachers or assistant teachers educated in the sub-continent. ... We only employ western educated teachers and assistant teachers from the Phillipines: [sic, probably meant Philippines].
  • For careers and job applications send CV and application letter to EEN email eenvacancies@gmail.com.
Facebook pages
  • Several Facebook pages for EEN but no official page found, all results are automatically generated FB spam pages for companies:

14 August 2011 review
  • Website domain www.emirates-en.com no longer available (is spam). Presumably email address info@emirates-en.com no longer valid. New website at www.emiratesenglishnursery.com (flash intro, noise, difficult to navigate). Updated email address not provided.
  • Mobile number +971-50-1085008.
20 December 2009 review
  • Emirates English Nursery (EEN) in Sharjah offers childcare, pre-school, daycare and kindergarten facilities.
  • EEN website says "English, Math, Arabic, Music, Ballet, and Art lessons - Summer Camp - Children and Kids Education - Kindergarten and Preschool" and sings pleasant nursery rhymes for your toddlers to enjoy. Which seems to be annoyingly difficult to turn off if you don't want to listen to it.
  • British international curriculum focuses on six different areas:
    1. Personal, emotional and social development
    2. Communication, language and literacy
    3. Mathematical development
    4. Knowledge and understanding of the world
    5. Physical development
    6. Creative development
  • Also open on Saturdays?
  • Full time nurse on premises, and doctor visits every second week.
  • EEN Sharjah Supervisor is Mrs Penny Newell.
  • EEN branches also in Dubai and Ajman according to EEN website but no contact or location information found - "British & English Nursery, Day Care in Sharjah, Dubai & Ajman"
