- Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) is an engineering college/univeristy in Switzerland with plans to establish a UAE campus in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK), opening in 2011 or 2012 (both dates seen).
- Location is in the RAK Academic Free Zone area?
- EPFL signed a partnership agreement in February 2009 to build the new branch in RAK (press release 04 February 2009)?
- Ownership split 50:50 between EPFL and the RAK Investment Authority (RAKIA).
- Construction started 14 May 2009?
- No EPFL RAK website found but some information at sti.epfl.ch/page81103-en.html. Main EPFL website at www.epfl.ch.
