17 July 2009 - Dulwich College to open a branch on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi
- It looks like Dulwich Dubai has given way to Dulwich Abu Dhabi - Dulwich College in the UK signed an MOU with the Abu Dhabi based Tourism Development and Investment Corporation (TDIC) to open a branch of the school on Saadiyat Island in 2012.

- Dulwich College (DC) is considering opening a branch in Dubai. The Times reported in January 2005 that Dulwich College was being paid £5m to create "the playing fields of Arabia" in Dubai Sports City. Dulwich College already have branches / franchises in Asia - Dulwich College Shanghai (open 2003), Dulwich College International School of Beijing (open 2005), Dulwich College Suzhou (open August 2007), and the Windsor Kindergarten in China. However, the Dulwich International College in Phuket lost its franchise in 2005 and changed its name to the British Curriculum International School in Phuket / British International School Phuket (BCIS).
- DC is a private / independent school for boys aged 7 to 18 years, based in London UK, founded in 1619 (tel +44-20-82999263 or +44-20-86933601, email the.registrar@dulwich.org.uk, website www.dulwich.org.uk).
- *Dulwich College in the UK offers A-Levels and GCSE, but the Dulwich Colleges in China offer IGCSE/IB programs and/or A-level/GCSE so presumably the Dubai Dulwich College will offer IB also.
- DC is commonly used by expats to refer to the Dubai College which is one of the older schools in Dubai. Should be confusing once Dulwich College gets off the ground.
- A 26 May 2008 report in The National had comments from the Headmaster of DC in the UK,
Graham Able, saying that
Dulwich Management International, the commercial division of Dulwich College, was preparing a report on the viability of opening a Dubai Branch, and the report would be ready by July 2008.
