- The Dubai Early Child Development Center (DECDC, or sometimes
DECDE?) is an Early Intervention (EI) program for UAE national children aged between 0-6 years old, with special needs or disabilities, or who might develop special need care and education. Services provided by the DECDC include:
- Initial Evaluation and Assessment
- Full Diagnostic Evaluation and Assessment
- Intervention
- Service Coordination
- Parent Training
- Counselling
- Consultancy
- Community Screening
- Clinical In-house Intervention Services
- Resource Room
- For non-Emirati families, consider the Dubai Child Early Intervention Medical Centre in Healthcare City.
- The DECDC is part of the Community Development Authority (CDA), located at Zayed University Dubai Campus in Dubai Academic City.
- Toll-free telephone number (in UAE) for the CDA is 8002321
- Director is also Dr Hussein Al Maseeh (May 2009 information)? Dr Bushra Al Mulla seen in September press releases as DECDC Director.
- Founding date is for the CDA, first announced by the Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed, in February 2007.
