  • Dubai Customs Nursery and Child Care Centre officially opened (exact date not clear - might be 01 or 02 April 2009?) as the first daycare center in the The National Child Care Center Project which aims to establish nurseries and creche centers in Dubai government departments for working mothers. Nursery opened in February or March 2009?
  • The Dubai Customs (DC) nursery was founded as a result of a law implemented in 2006 requiring government departments with more than 50 female employees to establish nurseries for children of their employees.
  • Dubai Customs Nursery is for children of Dubai Customs employees.
  • Ages accepted from one month to 4 years old.
  • Capacity is 32 to 34 children and area is 350 square meters.
  • The National Child Care Centers project was launched by Shaikha Manal Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, president of the Dubai Women Establishment (DWE), and wife of HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Presidential Affairs.
