Capital School is located on Baghdad St in the Al Qusais Schools Zone, on the old site of The School of Research Science (which is moving to a new site in Al Warqa 4 for Sep 2014). SRS old tel number is the phone number for CSD.
Additional mobile numbers +971-52-6455110 and +971-52-6455220.
School will open as a primary school for FS1 to Year 6 students (equivalent to nursery to Grade 5 levels) in Sep 2014, and start expanding to secondary school levels in Sep 2015 with Year 7 classes. Curriculum followed will be English National Curriculum. Not clear if school is for British expats, western expats, Arab expats, Emiratis, or trying to cater to all of the above. School marketing says "The Capital School is an International school, reflecting the diverse nature of students and the context of the UAE as centre of innovation and growth." Which could mean anything. Many schools in the UAE call themselves "International" but are Islamic schools with UK or US curriculums for Arab expat, Emirati, and other Muslim students.
Head of school is William Johnston, previously Primary School Principal at the English College in Dubai (primary school closed in June 2014, secondary school remained open), not Dubai College (different school) or Dubai English College (doesn't exist with exactly that name).
Not to be confused with the Capitol or Capital Higher Secondary School apparently in Abu Dhabi (probably a non-existent school), or the Capital Education Insitute, also in Abu Dhabi.
Owner's name not provided. Ruskin Education Consultants were contracted to establish the Capital School? See news item February 2014 "Following our success in securing an operating license of a new international school in Al Qusais in Dubai, we are delighted to now be beginning our pre-mobilisation support for the school. Our recruitment and marketing teams begin their work from the 1st March under the leadership of our Founding Principal, Chris Wright."
