- The British School of Al Kubairat (BSAK) is a highly regarded UK curriculum school in the UAE, however, watch out for some bogus Abu Dhabi teaching job postings which appear to be misrepresenting the name of BSAK (and possibly the headmaster,
Paul Coackley) to scam unwitting applicants out of money for alleged visa charges.
- Whether applying to BSAK, or any other school in the UAE, never ever ever send the alleged recruitment agency any money for claimed visa costs. In the UAE, visa costs are supposed to be paid by the employer. And while some less reputable schools in the UAE might try and get money off employees for visa costs, BSAK is not one of them as far as we know.
- See the www.uaeembassy.tk warning for more information (link deliberately redirected to information page, not the hoax website).
20 April 2009
- There are two other British curriculum schools in Abu Dhabi that may be comparable to BSAK (at least their fees probably are). British International School of Abu Dhabi (BISAD) is an IB profit making school scheduled to open in September 2009. British College Abu Dhabi (BCAD) is a non-profit British community school in the planning stages and might open in September 2011.

12 October 2007
- British School Al Khubairat (BSAK) has a very good reputation as a place for teachers to work in and for students to study at.
- BSAK is a member of the British Schools of the Middle East (BSME).
- BSAK established January 1968 on land donated by HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, founder of the UAE, then formally established by Amiri decree in May 1971. The school moved to new facilities on Airport Road in 1980. New premises completed in 2001, 2002, and 2005.
- BSAK website says fees are fully inclusive of books and materials. Not clear if transport, uniform, other costs included.
- Sometimes spelt "British School Al Khubarat" or "British School Al Kubairat". Also referred to as AKB, "Al Khubairat British School", and the Abu Dhabi Educational Zone (ADEZ) calls it "The British Comunity in Al Khbeirat Pvt Sch."
- Originally called "Al Khubairat Community School" or "Al Kubairat British Community School"
- Planned fee increase for 2007-2008 of 16% in Primary School, 3% for Secondary School, and 7% annually from 2008 onwards.
- Fees increase of 19.95% approved by Ministry of Education for 2006-2007.
- Fees increase of 5% for 2005-2006 denied by Ministry of Education?
