- The Bolton News (a Bolton College UK publication) reported that The college has been given approval to open a branch in Abu Dhabi to provide apprenticeships to the water and electricity companies in the Emirates.
- No further information about opening dates, exact location, etc supplied as plans are in the initial discussion stages only, or something like that.
