- Belvedere British School is a new UK curriculum school, but "serving predominantly UAE nationals" according to an advertisement for teachers.
- BBS in Abu Dhabi will be open to girls and boys, initially from 3-11 years old, with planned expansion to senior school for 11-16 year-olds in 2013, and 17-18 year-olds in 2014 (possibly, not confirmed).
- The school is related to The Belvedere Preparatory School and The Belvedere Academy, both in Liverpool, UK. It's not clear what the connection between the UK schools and the Abu Dhabi schools, although the BBS website says "In September 2012, we are bringing this proud tradition to the UAE and opening a new branch of Belvedere school in Abu Dhabi."
