- Al Basateen Nursery and Preschool presumably reopened (opening date not supplied). Email received with corrections:
- Not Indian curriculum, is Basateen Nursery in-house curriculum.
- Fax number changed from +971-6-5657799 to +971-6-5640466.
- Opening times 0800-2000 (8am to 8pm).
- Children aged 0 to 5 years old accepted.
- Updated fees information not supplied.

- Al Basateen Nursery closed until further notice as an H1N1 virus (swine flu) precaution (Khaleej Times report 14 September 2009).

- Basateen nursery open from 0730-2030 (7:30am to 8:30pm), located at the Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC) near Al Muntazah Square.
- Infants, and children aged 1½ to 4 or 5 years old accepted.? Or babies and infants as young as 1 month old? Conflicting information seen.
- Children grouped into Babies 1-12 months old, Toddlers 12-24 months, Under 2s 1-2 years, Pre KG 2-3 yrs, Foundation 3-4 yrs.
- Children under 2½ years old must be accompanied by a child carer (Basateen website comment)?
- Nursery classes and childcare sessions from 0800-1300, 0800-1600, or 0800-2000. Nursery open 12 months per year?
- Facilities include computer, dining room, gym, library, multi-purpose music and movement room, outdoor playground, swimming pool (indoor and outdoor at SLC).
- Nursery fees are 15-20 dhs per hour or 65-85 dhs per 5 hours. Variation depends on whether mother is SLC member or not. Annual fees figure an estimated calculation assuming one 5 hour session per day, 5 days per week, 10 months per year.
