American University in the Emirates Associate and/or Bachelor Degree courses and programs offered in the subject areas of:
- Arts and Sciences
- Business Administration
- Computer Information Technology
- Diplomatic Studies (MA - new in February 2010)
- Engineering
- Fine Arts and Design

24 February 2010
- The American University in the Emirates (AUE) launched a new Master of Diplomatic Studies degree (MA in Diplomatic Studies) with first classes starting 27 February 2010 (press release 24 February 2010).
- The press release said "American University in the Emirates launches first accredited degree in diplomacy in the Gulf" but didn't say by which body the degree was accredited by. However, the Commission for Academic Accreditation in the UAE (part of the MOHESR) website lists a Master of Arts in Diplomacy as one of the AUE accredited courses, which is presumably the same thing.
- All (or most) AUE Associate and Bachelor degree programs appear to be accredited according to the CAA website.
- AUE is divided into 5 colleges:
- College of Business Administration
- College of Computer Information Technology
- College of Fine Arts and Design
- College of Law
- College of Media and Mass Communication
12 September 2008
- American University in the Emirates (AUE) name changed from American College in the Emirates, and change of status from College to University (Khaleej Times 09 June 2008)
- AUE has Ministry of Higher Education licence, but only for Associate programs so far.
- Same websites at www.ace.ac.ae and www.aue.ae but nothing found at www.ace.ae (update 27 Jan 2010: website seems to have moved from www.aue.ac.ae to www.aue.ae in 2009?)
- Emails ard@aue.ae, hr@aue.ae also listed on contact page, unknown if hr@ace.ac.ae (previous email) still valid. Tel contact +971-4-3604445 also listed, unknown if old number still valid (+971-4-2693833).
- Tuition fees are 2,400-5,000 dhs per course. Not obvious on website how many courses / credits needed to complete a degree.
Last update 25 April 2010 General Comments - might not apply to American University of the Emirates
