- A press release from the Philippines Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said that AMA Computer Schools was planning to establish an institute in the UAE. Not clear if in Abu Dhabi or Dubai, or somewhere else. The report said that Dr Amable R. Aguiluz V, Special Envoy of the President of the Philippines to the Gulf Cooperation Council, had a meeting on 26 June 2012 with HH Sheikh Nahyan Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the UAE, "to discuss the possible establishment of an AMA school in the UAE".
- Presumably the report was referring to the AMA Computer University in the Philippines - website www.amaes.edu.ph.
