Al Yasmina is a British Curriculum school that will open in September 2008 for students from KG1 to Year 8 or 9 (conflicting information on AYS website), and eventually cater to students from 3 to 18 years (KG - Year 13) by adding a grade / year group each year. Capacity is for 2000 students. School is one of the Aldar Academies schools (the second out of 20 they plan to build).
- First day of new term is Sunday 07 September 2008. Last day of 08/09 academic year is Thursday 03 July 2009.
- School day expected to be from 0800-1430 (not confirmed)
- Fees information for KG-Yr 9 (higher grades are likely to be more expensive). Registration fee of 1000 dhs, and transport fees not included.
- Limited resources available to cater to special needs students (they should be able to integrate easily into most classes to be considered).
- Impressive looking list of facilities (as you'd expect for a new school built by the largest property developer in Abu Dhabi).
