  • Al Yaqeen Private School (AYPS?) appears to be connected to an odd sales pitch found in an online classified ad for tortoises in Canada, advertised as being bred at AYPS. The advertisement says: Hello, Agriculture department Al Yaqeen Private School are Approved Breeder of all breed of Tortoises and I run a Reptile Farm. I have males, females, babies and Tested and Proven breeding pairs of all the breeds listed below.
  • Contact details supplied are email addresses fez@worker.com, and emirateadvert@hotmail.com. Also a website www.fez.gov.ae.
  • We haven't checked with them directly, however it seems extremely unlikely that AYPS are a breeder of animals of any sort, and the website listed is for the Fujairah Education Zone (FEZ) which strikes us as very odd. We don't know of any education authority in the UAE (or school for that matter) that is in the business of breeding animals to be sold.
  • If anyone from AYPS or the FEZ is reading this and would like to confirm that they are in fact breeding tortoises, we'd appreciate some further information. Thanks.

  • Al Yaqeen School in Fujairah is probably unrelated to the Al Yaqeen Academy, an Islamic school in Connecticut, USA (AYA) (website www.alyaqeenacademy.org).
