  • Al Muna Primary School (AMPS?) start date for 2009-2010 academic year is 06 September 2009. School location is behind the Hamdan Center, between Hamdan and Zayed the 1st (Electra) streets (Aldar Academies press release). Near Marks & Spencer. Good location if you want a school in downtown Abu Dhabi (but parking won't be easy).
  • Telephone and fax numbers not confirmed.
  • UK National Curriculum offered, Foundation Stage in KG, Key Stages 1 and 2 up to Year 6. French taught from Year 3.
  • AMPS facilities include auditorium, computer room, football pitch, library, netball court, sports hall, swimming pool (25 meters). Separate play areas for FS, KS1, and KS2 students.
  • Head's name updated. Mr Nourse-Grewal was previously Headteacher at Loseley Fields Primary School in Godalming, UK, and Head Teacher at Sholing Junior School in Southampton before that.
  • Deputy head is Mrs Shanahan (previously at Al Yasmina School, also an Aldar Academies School).
  • The new Al Muna school is in a renovated old government school building.

  • Al Muna Primary School is a new Aldar Academies school, opening for September 2009.
  • Contact Pearl Primary School for further details at present.
  • Fees information not confirmed.
  • Assumed to be UK National Curriculum (NC) school.
  • No website found yet but if following the pattern of other Aldar Academy schools, might be www.almuna.sch.ae. But not www.almunaschool.com since that is for the Al Muna International School, an Indian school in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, which is unrelated to the Al Muna School in Abu Dhabi.
