- Al Mihad Educational Institute (AMED?) in Dubai was reported in the Gulf News as being unauthorised by the KHDA to offer degree programs.
- It was apparently offering Bachelor's degrees from University of Calicut in Kerala, India, but had discontinued the courses, leaving students in a difficult position. However, some students were able to transfer to Al Hilal Education Institute in Sharjah, as it did not come under KHDA regulations.
- The GN report said (referring to Mohammad Darwish, Head of the KHDA Regulation and Compliance Commission) Darwish confirmed that the KHDA had asked the training institute to withdraw one of its programmes that was not on the list of permitted activities. He said the institute was now fully compliant.
- AMED location is office M-03 in the Al Kazim Building, on the Dubai-Sharjah highway (Al Ittihad Road), Hor Al Anz East, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
