Al Hesn Private School (Al Hosn School) Dubai tuition fee structure, reviews, and general information
  • Fees information not supplied. Please send fee structure to education@dubaifaqs.com.
  • School is Grade 2-9 only (KHDA information)? Or K-12 (other sources, and 2012 KHDA report)?
  • Establishment date not confirmed. Also called Al Hisn School, Al Huson School? Not related to the Al Hosn Public Boys High School in Abu Dhabi (government secondary school).
  • Owner's name, fax number, student levels, official website not provided.
  • Location given as Al Muhaisnah in 2012 KHDA report, Al Twar 3 in some sources, and behind the Shangri-La Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road in other sources. 02 June 2012 review
  • School telephone is still +971-4-2648844 (according to latest KHDA report)? Other KHDA information says telephone is +971-4-2641818 but that number also seen for the Modern Renaissance School and Uptown High School. UAE Yellow Pages has phone number +971-4-3439333. Fax number is +971-4-3438885 according to some sources, but not confirmed.
  • Website listed as www.al-hesn.com in some sources but not available when checked. Unknown if email address family@al-hesn.com still valid.
  • Some sources list postal address as PO Box 92666, Dubai, but that appears to belong to Satal Contracting LLC in Dubai.
  • Principal or Vice-Principal is Aisha Ali Saif Bel Jafla?
  • KHDA 2008-2009 inspection report was unsatisfactory. Follow-through inspection reports dated 26 May 2009, 18 Nov 2009, 21 Apr 2010, 08 Nov 2010, and 11 Apr 2011 were all unsatisfactory also, although the 4th and 5th follow through reports noted that some improvements had been made. KHDA 2011-2012 rating was unsatisfactory.

  • Gulf News reported that the 8 students who assaulted another student, have been expelled (Al Hesn Private School in Al Muhaisinah has decided to expel the eight pupils who allegedly beat up a grade five boy last month), although it wasn't clear why the Gulf News thought that, since they quoted the "vice-principal" (other information is that she is the Principal), Aisha Ali Saif Bel Jafla, as saying "The eight boys were not expelled from the school, but we have asked their parents to find other schools"

  • Gulf News reported that a nine-year old grade 5 student was allegedly assaulted by 8 senior students at the school. The report said that the father of the victim took him to hospital - A medical report issued by Rashid Hospital's Emergency Department has confirmed the injury was due to the alleged assault. The father also apparently filed a report at Al Ghusais police station.
  • The principal of the school, Aisha Ali, was quoted as saying "I interrogated the boys who were involved in the fight and there was some misunderstanding that led to the fight. There have been issues with one of the boys involved. He is going through turmoil because his family is split, but nothing justifies such behaviour and we are trying to tackle it"
  • On 20 May 2012, Emirates 24-7 referred to an Emarat Al Youm (Arabic newspaper) report, quoting the principal as saying "The school is witnessing violent events almost every day. Sometimes it is between the students and other times between pupils and teachers ... The school is suffering from staff shortage and the resources needed to control the situation…we call for police intervention to control the situation and put an end to the daily violence at school."
