The Khaleej Times reported that Al Ettihad School student numbers increased by 200, by accepting students from the recently closed New Al Hilal School in Al Ain, along with the owner of the school, several teachers, and some buses - Sultana [Shahnaz Sultana] owned the New Al Hilal Private School that was shut down last month by the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) ... Sultana, who now works as administration supervisor at Al Ettehad ... In addition to the students, Dr Khan also took in seven teachers from the New Al Hilal to teach English, Urdu and Science. While getting accustomed to their new school location, Sultana has commissioned three of her old school buses to transport the students.

Al Ettehad Private School is different from the Al Ittihad National Private School Al Ain. Although both Etihad (and various spellings) and Ittihad are different spellings of the Arabic word which means "union" or "united" in English.
Al Ettehad School is a Pakistani curriculum school, Al Ittihad School is an English/Arabic curriculum school with mostly Arab students.
Unknown if school owner, Dr Afsar Khan (reported in Khaleej Times 05 April) is the same Dr Khan as the principal of Al Rayan School in Abu Dhabi.
