  • Postal address updated to PO Box 129071 Abu Dhabi (also used for Al Mushrif Primary School). Previously was Aldar Academies HQ, PO Box 128484, Abu Dhabi.

  • Email address updated to reception@albateen.sch.ae, previously was registrar@albateen.sch.ae (might still be valid - is still shown on other documents from Aldar schools).
  • Fax number also +971-2-6319490 (might be old information - was on 2012-2013 registration application form)?

06 April 2011
  • To enquire about Al Bateen Secondary School (ABSS), contact Al Muna Primary School in Abu Dhabi. It looks like Aldar have changed the name from Aldar Academy or Al Bateen School to Al Bateen Secondary School.
  • Curriculum will be IGCSE for Years 10 and 11. International Baccalaureate (IB) is under consideration for Years 12 and 13.
  • Aldar Academies is also establishing an Al Bateen Primary School in Abu Dhabi, in the same location as ABSS, temporarily, until Al Mushrif Primary School opens in September 2013.
  • ABSS is a non-profit school, as are other Aldar Academy schools, according to them. As it happens, Aldar schools made a loss of AED 13 million for the financial year 2010 according to their financial reports.
23 February 2011
  • Construction of the new Aldar Academies school will be completed by June 2011 according to a report in Construction Week, which referred to the school as the Aldar Academy rather than the Al Bateen School (as it is called on the Aldar Academies website).
  • So far, possible names are: Aldar Academy, Al Bateen Academy, Al Bateen School, Al Bateen Secondary School. Aldar haven't clarified which is the correct name for the new school, or if it will have a different name. Or they're sticking to Al Bateen School and any other names thought up are nothing to do with them.
  • The Abu Dhabi Aldar Academy is unrelated to the Aldar Academy in Sacremento, California, USA.
