For Special Needs children, AAIS registration form says For the Academic Year 2011 we only have very limited resources to cater for children with special needs. We generally do not accept children with a Statement of Special Needs or children who require ‘one to one’ support in order to access the curriculum.

New Aldar Academies school in Al Ain will be called Al Ain International School (AAIS?) according to press release from Aldar Properties.
Opening date scheduled for 11 September 2011. Location is on Al Salam Street in the Al Sarooj area/district.
The new school is an an old government school closing June 2011, renovations planned for the summer 2011 period. Seems rather optimistic to think that an entire school can be renovated and ready for operation within a couple of months, especially during the hot UAE summer. It is also common for activity to slow down during Ramadan which is in August 2011.
Deputy principal will be Martin Coogan, currently DP at The Pearl Primary School.
Facilities planned include football field, recreation areas, sports hall, swimming pools, theater.

Many popular schools are full for 2012-2013. New schools in Al Ain might have places.
