Academy of Islamic Banking courses and programs

- The "Academy of Islamic Bank" (AIB?) will be an Islamic banking college or university to be established in Dubai, according to Dr Hussain Hamed Hassan, as reported in Emirates Business 24/7 on 31 December 2009.
- Dr Hassan is a Shariah scholar, and president of several Fatwa and Sharia boards.
- AIB plans to offer degree courses in Islamic finance and banking, and will be the first dedicated Islamic finance teaching institute in the region.
- Expected opening date is sometime in 2011. Expected start date of development by mid 2010.
- AIB to be established with the support of Islamic banks in the UAE.
