- The Abu Dhabi School of Management (ADSM) signs an agreement with Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, USA, for them to advise the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) on the development of the ADSM.
- ADSM plans to become the leading institute in the GCC and Middle East region for entrepreneurial management education.
- UAE Academy President and CEO Hafez, President Schlesinger, Provost Ansari Babson will provide technical services to establish and manage the school, and assist ADSM in the development of its curriculum, and hiring and developing faculty, advise ADSM on developing support services and infrastructure, and managing ongoing operations.
- ADSM is a development project of the United Arab Emirates Academy. The press release quoted the UAE Academy CEO, Dr. Magdi A. Hafez, as saying "Our partnership with Babson will enable us to fulfill our vision for Abu Dhabi – to develop and nurture entrepreneurship in my country and to create a model for the Middle East,"
- The ADSM is also supported by the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford in the UK (according to UAE Academy brochure, date unknown)?
